Both of the 8.61 Sutherland plants I have growing are ribbon vining. They both are also have mega's connected to a ribbon vine. I am wondering what observations other growers of this world record seed are seeing?

My 8.61 hasn't thrown anything special as yours. Mostly singles from the beginning. Now a little higher on the plant I have a nice threesome flower going on a regular stem. Good luck, yours should produce a real whopper!

I'm not getting any ribbon vine either, just a lot of really nice mega blooms that I'm losing to BER.

I am rookie and I am curious, are you removed all tomatoes and keep nice one per plant? Thanks!

Most of us prune to one tomato per plant. To grow the biggest takes a sharp pair of scissors. I am getting the idea that you are making plans for 2018. Stick around thru the winter and you will learn many of the techniques that the growers are using.

I see and thank you! I have 3 tomatoes (Supersteak, Big boy and Better boy) in my giant pumpkin garden. That's all I can find from Greenhouse in my town. Little late for giant tomatoes this year but for now if I get little over one pound then I am happy! Plan get Delicious, Big Zac and Burpee Supersteak hybrid next year.
