I need suggestions....making plans to grow the biggest tomato for Gale Woods Farm weigh-off. Right now, my plan is to grow a hydroponic tomato in a 55 gallon drum. It will be sealed in a outside miniature green house, with a chiller to control nutrient temp, an air conditioner/heater to control air temp, humidifier/dehumidifier for humidity, CO2 injection, artificial lighting if needed...seed to be started will be the 5.85 Boudyo. What else can I do to create the ultimate environment?

Don't forget a fully automated system to control everything that also includes data logging.

I think a live streaming camera so you can watch it from work then make us a time lapse video to watch. Also, I would hire an armed guard to watch over your mater 24/7. There are a lot of shady people in MN and a large prize to win at Gale Woods....

I thought we were to promote the Gale woods weigh-off not scare people away. I planned on just throwing my seeds into the dirt and see what happens. Both the setup and the weeding scare me.

Don't have worry about bnot doing weed naked in his garden..we all know weed is illegal here. i never pick pick all the green stuff growing between my plants..i just think of it as a natural cover crop. Some good ideas..power outgage would destroy the plant quickly.Don't get any ideas qtip.. i have security team watching 24 hours per day... the plant will be grown at the corner of three yards with a big dog in each yard. i don't think they would be happy if someone was to mess with with their territory. Frosbite..dont think you should worry too much..wonder if it is possible to blow up a mater.
