I'm pretty sure the domingo variety comes from Italian roots...Vinchenzo domingo?....I mean...com on, right?...seamsfaster or materdoc would know for sure...either way, I have some if yer interested ...meaty and tasty ...

Seamsfaster got Domingo seeds from Vincenzo Domingo's daughter in Italy, I forget which area of Italy, maybe he will chime in. I got the seed from Seamsfaster & I'm sure many other people did too.
He had another huge Italian variety. I don't recall the exact name, it was something like Maria Amazilitei's Big Red. I grew a couple of MABR several years ago and it produced some large beefsteaks with doubles and triples as I recall but no larger megablooms.

I forgot to mention Vincenzo Domingo died a year or 2 ago, so it is kind of a memorial for him.
And it does produce (in the right hands) competitive giant Maters although they have a definite tendency to not be as dense as Big Zacs or Delicious.

The other Italian variety I grew to over 3 lbs. (3.554) is Chilo della Garfagnana.
In my inventory are at least 45 additional tomato varieties from Italy, along with peppers, basil, beans...
I lived in Italy for a couple of years, so I have a fondness for food things Italian!

I have grown Sicilian saucer tomatoes,they are a nice flavorable tomato. My largest was 23" in circumference. It filled a whole slice of toast.
