Our two plants are not disease free, but it has been slowed way down with daconil once a week. My camera still is down, but question, I have early blight and it is gonna rain here on saturday, what can I do to protect plants besides spraying after rain and mulching over soil so less rain bounces off soil? Would plastic over soil help? Anything else? We have good blooms we have been polinating all week, small pruned plants, but looks like we will get some kind of mater atleast.

add copper fungicide to the rotation?..i wasn't convinced from the first pic that it was disease anyhow,but...I would say anything you can do to keep water off the leaves could help...plastic over the soil?..maybe...but id be inclined to remove it after the rain is done...at least you got some going..I've had a couple sickly plants that still grew some pretty big tomatoes so don't give up..good luck!!

I haven't taken photos with my camera out of action, but it looks like blight for sure to me as it slowly spreads and reappears on the healthy leaves, but i am no expert lol

omnilytics has a product for tomato bacterial leaf spot, it is pathogen specific i believe. so you may have to do a little research on it and some tissue testing.

Team Faith, did you try the products I suggested back on 4/3?
"I have used Companion and then alternated with Daconil with success. Spray the whole plant and do it as early in the day as possible. I would also consider starting a regular feeding of Biomin Calcium in liquid form....Maybe you have early blight alternaria?"
If the plants are starting to recover, then just be patient because this process takes time.

An update for all the help, been spraying daconil every 6 days the last 2 weeks and even sprayed 3 days apart in beginning. Plants seem to be pulling through and disease "seems" to have been stopped or slowed to an amount I haven't seen any new disease in the last week or more. We have maters growing around day 5 to 6 and thanks to everyone's help we have a chance. Will keep updating my diary for further info! Jim

They lookin really good if you ask me...cut the little junkie tomatoes off as early as possible so the stem of the boss flower heals up nice..that fat multiple one looks really nice too...gonna need a Slammock for that one...in about two weeks you'll see it start to take off..They look good...you need to have some more faith...

ok ok, more faith! lol I will say one thing, I'm an organic only guy pretty much my whole ag career. Getting out the merit and blasting the daconil are not a normal thing for me! Chemicals really can save your season. If I tried organic this year it would have been over for sure. I am very happy that the plants have really recovered and are doing better now. We put a lot of work into this even though it is for fun, our competitive nature wants to grow a nice fruit. Not sure really what my climate can do for maters, but we will see.
