I grew it awhile back and was not impressed. I know others have done better than I did. I won't be growing it again any time soon.

I grew the Michaels Portuguese Monster last summer (3.75 Thurber). It was a serious challenge for pruning. Vines were coming out everywhere. For every one i trimmed off two would appear. Finally I gave up and it turned into a really thick bush. I ended up getting some tomatoes off from it..i think the biggest was right around 3 pounds. I have to think I would have done better if I could have had better control of it's wild growth.

As far as megablooms...the 3.75 Thurber was a 14 fused blossom. The plant was so wild he named it the Bigzarro. It was the Utah state record for a very short time.
