We just went from a 35 day drought with only 0.5" of rain to over 4" of rain last week !!! my ground wont dry out and now im beginning to see these blosom end rots !!! my MEGADOM looks like it may be getting a spot on it !!! im going to spray ortho garden and disease control on them tonight, but what else can i do. does magnesium help ? can to much calcium and boron cause problems ???

Hi Chris, I use with great success Biomin Calcium from Hollands and mix it as a weekly foliar application. Your picture is pretty bad. Many times calcium is tied up in the soil, so pairing this with Humic Acid really helps along with seaweed. If your soil is very sandy or acid, you may find Epsom Salts provides help especially following long periods of rain. Often in these types of soil magnesium washes out. I have found that the best way to tell your soil's magnesium levels is to have your soil tested possibly through Western Labs or elsewhere. Unfortunately, magnesium deficiencies in plants often do not show up until the plant is very depleted. You will notice yellowing between older leaf veins, possibly red, purple or brown colors on leaves and eventually the plant will die.

Might be science in Mn, it's love down here in Ky...and a little calcium goes a long way! Oops, it's okay...calcium will work in Mi, too!!! LOL Peace, Wayne
PS...lots of problems w/ BER, down here & cal spray almost always seems to cure it. Hope this helps.
