Great weighoff today in Guston and Frank Mudd did a great job of hosting. He also had a monster melon too! Best watermelon lineup ever at a weighoff! 13 melons over 200 lbs and 17 over 175 lbs! Huge congrats to Jeremy Lindley for a new Arkansas state record bushel gourd and Jeremy Terry for a new Tennessee state record pumpkin! And I even got to meet ole Bubba! Lol

Thanks everyone for the support. It is just setting in. New PB, Illinois state record and placing 1st at a GPC event but most of all being with and talking with such a group of awesome people. I have to give a huge shout out to Roberts Family Farms and all the FFA youth & volenteers who worked so hard in that heat! Wow. What a show they put on. Mr Andy Mills & Frank Mudd I bow to you!

Fiona did weigh light. I believe possibly plant stress, lack of full sun for approx 8 weeks and 12-15 inches of rain slowed her way down on inside grow. Will be interesting to look inside at air n rind thickness. I dont think this takes anything away from the 146.5 seed.

Had a great time! Always fun to see old friends and meet new friends. Biggest bunch of melons Ive ever seen at a weigh off! Top 10 avg of 250 lbs i believe someone said.

Great weigh off and in the growers meeting they stressed that they plan to keep growing and make this the best weigh off around. Im glad I got to be there! Congrats to everyone and mark your calendars to attend this event next year. Btw Jason had the big kin Charles, you and Bubba gonna have to get it together lol

It was a great event to be a part of, especially seeing Joseph and Charles break their state records... Joseph you don't have to defend Fiona, she weighed over 300 lbs, something not many can say... I wouldn't care if my melon tapes 400 and weighs 300... It ain't how close to chart they go it's what they weigh! Congrats on a personal best year! Also Congratulations goes to Charles Bentley who showed he's a elite melon grower! This guy is taking 240s and giving them away! Congrats to both of you... Sue top 10 avg was 252.2 lbs... Welcome to the watermelon show!
