My son has a melon that is only increasing in size 1/2 inch per day on OTT. How long can you leave a melon on the vine after growth has stopped and it still be decent to eat? We are going to let him take it to Farm Y'all next weekend if it lasts that long but I expect growth to stop any day.

If the stem is still green it is still growing in some manner.

If the stem is green it is better left attached to the plan than picked. The melon will begin losing weight as soon as it is picked.
