I was reading on here that most watermelon plants are self steril, I have one growing on the 239 finders that was a self pollination. I guess my question is does anyone else us the male flowers to pollinate the female melons from the same plant? I also culled a smaller melon from this same plant that was a selfie. The one I kept is day 18 and growing pretty well! Thanks

Cooler weather has slowed mine to 3.5-4.5 ott per night. Not going to be a record breaker. Lol, hope august is a bit warmer and sunnier!

night time temps have averaged between 48 & 52 F this summer. Needless to say the melons are growing at a very slow rate. I hope we get some warmer temps at night or I might have to build a greenhouse over them.
