Subject: curling leaves

My plants are pretty good size, probably 150 sq ft or so, and just the other day I noticed that on all of the new growth, the last 3 ft of every vine the leaves are curling.
Is something bad happening here ? The melons that are set are growing good.

I looked at them this morning and they looked normal. They must have been heat stressed,(they are growing on black fabric) that is the only thing that I can come up with.

Kind of like the leaves on the left in this photo? http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=201944 Once the leaves mature they become hardened off to the sun. I would compare it to how a pumpkin plant has it's new leaves wilt.
