Would like to hear from people on the approx total length of vine before trying to set a female. I've got my first female on and wonder if I have enough plant to support a contender. Thanks for any Input Ya'll. Joseph

50 to 60 feet of vine is all I had when I set the 260.5.I just set 2 on the 291 Kent grated with about 75 feet of lineal vine.

i always wanted 1/2 my space filled before setting or about 100 sq ft. But time grows short so what you got now may have to do. look at how much time you have till your weighoff. max is say 100 days. very good is 90-95. 80 days close to its potential. 70 days you got most(90%) even 60 days will give a nice 80% melon.

I figure ya get what ya get by the 1st week of July by the second week the chances of hitting 250 is getting real low,So its hard to pick & choose if your trying to hit it out of the park.
