Hey Marty, how is the 245 Bartoli doing. Do all your melons on the plant look the same? Just wondering, cause there was talk once about having some Crimson Sweet genetics in his melons.

It sure does look like it has some crimson sweet in it. I grew a seed back in 2010 that was from James White it grew a melon that shape, solid as a rock too.

Yep all that shape,we will see what it does. Growth is OK on it but not as others in past but if it keeps up who knows. I will see what the OTT is tomorrow so I can track its growth better.

Ott today is 43-32-29=104 inches. Talk about short and round but growing fine. I have another set on the plant for fall now. Outside plants just getting thumped by weather this year so going for 2 on this plant. Hopefully other plant get better weather and play catch up.

I posted a photo in my diary but really a let down. Grew fine at first then almost a stand still at est. 70 pounds.
Set another one and it has slowed even faster. Plant still trucking along with growth.On th bright side it should be a tasty melon in a few weeks after fair.
