If anyone would like to talk about growing watermelons feel free to email me, as I will not be on this board anymore. I have reframed from comment thus far to preserve civility. I like to talk about melons; however, this has taken a back seat to arguing about the GWG, cutting down other growers and their efforts, and bragging about things that have not yet come to pass. There are alot of growers that do not come here anymore who had great input. Mainly because this board has become unproductive and reads more like a reality show. I have tried to nicely mention this before, but I am sick of reading this garbage. So consider this my goodbye. Best of luck to all the new growers and friends I have made here, hope to hear from you soon. Jake

Too bad Jake. I have always enjoyed your comments and looking at your diary. I think you are a great grower but perhaps a little handicapped from being so far south. You are certainly correct in stating this forum has gotten away from it's intended purpose. I hope it can still be a good site for information exchange and helping new growers learn how to grow big melons. I hope to be in touch with you and still hope to run into you at a weigh-off one of these days. Good luck and take care of yourself.
