My choice is definitely 4C. The melon is better shaped and better looking. Please take out the word "big" though and replace with "giant". I can sometimes purchase a big watermelon at the local grocery store. The word "big" does not convey the proper image. For example the writer of "James and the Giant Peach would not have considered calling his book "James and the Big Peach". lol

The GWG with the backward G in the melon is definitely much easier to recognize in the 4C graphic. It is a little difficult for some to see in the 4A graphic. The melon in 4A just looks too fake to me. We are not about new wave art we are about growing giant watermelons and the watermelon on our logo needs to be readily recognizable as a watermelon.

Sorry, if you are going with #4, I would have to with 4c, 4b is just to flat, I think some rounding on top would look more like a watermelon.
Again I would like to see some changes in #1 "WOW" #1 or #4c

I agree with you tallcorn. Unfortunately, I think #1 has been taken out of the process already.

Tallcorn did you mean 4C is too flat? If so then the top and bottom could be rounded a hair more, but while keeping the broad ends. After looking at a couple more melons I think the top and bottom aren’t quite as parallel as that, but it’s a simple fix. That might also give a feel for a girthy melon, which of course makes us all giddy.

Idea for the tagline: “Sempiterne Potest” which is Latin for “there are always possibilities,” or “anything is possible.” Since the English taglines are sounding a little lame and this gives an authentic old-time feel. Give it a think. It might give a similar feeling that “commonwealth” does for the pumpkin society. Also, we intend to reach unimaginable weights with these melons… anything truly is possible. The pumpkin growers never thought they’d get past 1000 lbs, never mind flirting with 2000!

I dont think the goal is to look like a real melon. The goal is someone looking for the first time. Looking at the logo,First impression,Who?What? Why?.I think the original does that with a crisp, clean feel,& quality look,& this will lead newcomers to our website,,just as important the Club is deciding, heres your chance to vote, please vote
