I think it was 200 by day 50-55ish.
I always hate waiting for 200. Seems to take forever. Thats the weight I start to get excited about a melon. Should have my 1st hitting 200 by weeks end if all goes well.

Don't see why one wouldn't say they have one at 200. Its not giving anything away. I have yet to see a weighoff where "200" won, so i know to win i need alot more. It doesn't say how old or how fast its growing so there is alot of mystery still left.

Longways from 200 to 300, never know when the stem will rot, find it leaking, or a coon crawled up inside of it!

Jake's got it right, its a long way to go. I stand there looking & thinking....(i do alot of that this time of year) boy thats a big melon.....now its got to add another 90+ lbs ! That growth can stop in a hurry & when that happens, thats it for that melon. Your next measurement could be your last.

Mark, I don't have anything special right now, just a bunch of 40-52 day old melons. A lot can happen in the next 35-40 days, just as nothing can happen, so no barn burners here in Garner, atleast not yet.

199.75 and holding no doubt Frank..lol. Mark my oldest melon is but 26-27 days old (had major hail damage 6/15). And while mine are growing nicely I'm not even remotely near where Frank, Chris and Todd are. Just gotta wait and see how they do.

I lost a good one on the 113 Kent last week. It made the mark for day forty. The stem had been getting worse and made its way into the fruit. Went from 4.5 ppd to 0 within a day or two. Weighed 157 at day 40. I've only got one shot left with the 291.
