I was reading a post below and now I am not sure that I am measuring properly.

I am measuring just like we measure the pumpkins ott, straight down to the ground, when measuring stem to blossem, and side to side.

The post below that I read, sounds like I should have a tape under the melon to measure the girth, (for the side to side measurment).

Should I be measuring the girth for ott ?
If I should be measuring girth, that will make the ott a good bit bigger.

No, measure just like a pumpkin. Girth is a different measurement.
