I am in the process of collecting seeds from the cull off my 285 Edwards. The melon weighed 102lbs at day 24 and when I cut it open this afternoon it was solid, meaning no hollow voids. If a melon is going to be hollow at what age does the process start to show signs. Last year most were light to the charts and hollow inside, but this melon was heavy. So hopeing for heavy to the chart melons this year.

well its a good sign, but doesn't mean the other will be solid. The 109 kent 10 (157 Bright), I picked last year at 33 days was soild & right on the chart. The 230 the plant then grew when I started over had a hollow area. Not huge, but a void in it still.
