Trinity River Bottom

Last year they didn't bother my watermelons only ate the tips on my cantalopes.. This year they went rite by the lopes to the melons. I lost 5 plants Friday nite . The rabbit population was way down in my yard by Sunday morning!!!

Fencing, fencing, fencing. I learned that after the year I had a large melon that I named "deer bite".

Besides, the biggest hindrances to a good garden on my property are my flock of chickens, and my 125 pound black lab.

Looks like later this Fall the GWG should have a conference in the river bottom. After we talk melons, can can enjoy a great rabbit hunt. I'll bring the beagles!!

Had me worried , but my plants are fine, no rabbits yet. My Beagle is about 15 years old, her nose is willing & able, but the rest of her isn't :( She will bark at the rabbits. I can bring a basset who loves to chase, but we better put her in back, she gets car sick ! LOL
