Don't know much either, other than it was grown in 1996 or 1997 when Henry grew a huge field of melons.

That is helpful. Maybe offspring of Carson/ BRIGHT, Is seed red or white?( 1990 Carson 264)& (1985 Bright 260)ARE THE same seed line . I believe thier seeds are white. Thanks , Jerry

I don't know but I suspect that the 217 was grown off seeds given to Henry by Allie Collier.

217 Pleasant '96 was grown from another Pleasant seed. I can't recall which one but I do remember it was a Pleasant seed. This is according to Mr. Hurley, who had the 217's in the freezer that Henry got from him to grow his 267. The next time I talk to them I will ask...
