I was there at Stillwater Minnesota when they were weighing in the new world record pumpkin at 1810 pounds. Of course I was busily cutting open watermelons to feed the crowd. But darn it! I was there.
I was also in my living room on Thursday night watching David Letterman gawk over Chris Kent's world record watermelon.
It's been a great year.

Hey how about that...2 Chris's = 2 world records. Its a good name ;) Look on the bright side, i don't think anyone has repeated as the top grower 2 years in a row.
