I don´t know what IV is but so much Nitrogen is not in the pumpkin fertilizer schedule - sounds like the fruit is "hazardous waste" when harvested-:)

IV intraveinous. ie, into a vein. sounds like he is using it for a drip fertilizer system. not injected into the vine.

IntraVenus---the newspaper on Venus someday...lol yeah, the IV thing is a bit vague, but very interesting nonetheless! also, if you wanna see more giant watermelons, the Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers'site-(PGVG) has some real beautiful monsters---it's under photo gallery! check it out, you'll love it!(them)! lol 'pal
