well as you all know-I found two melons behind the big melon on the 219 kent yesterday-culled them and to my supprize it grew last night -3/16 of an inch-witch I hadnt had any in over a week ,so this was a first hand experience for me ,and a lessoned learned-and also this morning I had to cull my biggest watermelon on the 267 pleasant ,witch really sucked ,the stem kept leaking ,and im not sure why ?had been damaged some how ,and a red sap kept coming out ,but the good news is theres one that just came on longer and better shape-so you win some you losse some I guess,in the process-and yesterday I had my neighbor come over and look at the melon I though was turning yellow- he said I`m seeing things and not to worry about things I cant control ,I kicked him off my property-Just kidding <:no but he said just keep the tape on it ,until its done growing ,so I will push it long as Ican -or ultil I see something going down hill,my goal is 205 so I`m not giving up with out a fight,my P,B IS 150 AS OF NOWhopeing to smash that this year.good luck to all and thanks for all the help !I`VE NOT HAD ANYTHING ,OVER THE 150#mark,so I dont know what to expect -leaveing a melon on longer then that ,but I can`t wait to find out.

This applys to Martys melon as well. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think thats sap from a damaged stem. I think its gummy stem disease , or some kind of disease????? I have had it before.

so no worms an dirt cake as patch amendment next year bummer
On a sincere note you think the melon was seeping water from inside the melon over watered cracked stem or somthing of that note
