Are there watermelon seed auctions like pumpkin seed auctions?

Not that I have heard, we sort of buck the trend and give the seeds away hoping for people to grow them. It always annoys me when I see someone selling my seeds out on ebay.

They're free here. I'd be thrilled if someone grew mine.

brotherdave I plan on growing 5 watermelons next year so I probally need 10 seeds when you factor in backups. So I will take as many seeds as I can get. I would like to grow some of your watermelon seeds I will send a SASBE when your cantaloupe seed is ready so I do not have to send two.

We had some watermelon seeds on our Mid west auction and no one bid. They need to be very big melons to get any interest. We seem to have some great growers here and great seeds so trading is very nice.I still always buy a few from Giant Watermelons.

Hopefully, KGPG auction will have a watermelon lot, and can almost guarantee that the newly "GPC" Tennesse folks will have a melon lot in their auction!!! Great job, Chris, and all who helped you, getting Tenn. into the GPC!!! PS. for such a limited # of folks involved, your group got this done in record time!!! Kudo's to all involved!!! Grow em BIG!!! Peace, Wayne
