Subject: OTT chart Vs real ?

As part of deciding on the 157 bright melon choice, I have been weighing the new melon each day & any culls i find hiding in the patch. I have found that on the low end of the chart and below... as in ott's of 60's,70's,80's,90's the weights of the Ott's are too high. Anyone else ever measure small ( under 40 lbs) melons & see how they match ? Anyone know if the OTT's at the low end are real or calculated ?

Don't know how its figured but EVERY ONE I have checked has been light to the chart.

Ditto, but around 100lbs. seems fairly accurate.

picked a black diamond a week ago ott estimate was 59lbs. actual weight was 61lbs.

todays numbers on the new 157 melon at day 12 are ott 97 = 33.1 lbs gain of 4.8 lbs. real=27.6 lbs gain of 5.8 lbs
