I've found something on the side of a female (open yesterday), that has me concerned. A small, round, and hard yellow nodule. It was about the same color as the flower bloom. The nascent fruit has gotten a bit larger, but the nodule is either about the same, or a bit smaller. It's the only one I've seen on any of the females so far.
Has anyone else seen one of these? Is it something I should be concerned about?

I haven't seen that before. I guess I would be concerned about it also.

So far, the melon seems to be growing okay. It's somewhat flatter on one side than the other, but other than that looks alright. If it's still there, it's on a part no longer readily visible. I'm afraid to pick it up to check under the bottom.
I guess as long as it doesn't start causing problems, maybe the melon will be okay. I definitely need to keep in mind it was there.

I made a mistake not watching this anomaly more carefully. I've posted the details in my newer thread about tending young fruit.
