I have two plants out in hoops. One plant is around 36 inches and the other maybe 18 inches. I went out this morning to open the hoops up and noticed a female flower on each of them. The longer plant also has two male flowers on it. I dont expect them to get pollinated, and it is way to early for that any way.
Is it best that I pinch them off ?
Is this normal CC melon behavior, I have never grown them? Lee

I haven't noticed females on a Carolina Cross plant 18" or less but I think I have had them at the 36" length or less size. Plants that small are certainly too small to consider letting fruit set, so these early females are of no importance.
