Will watermelons grow roots along leggy stems before the cot leaves like pumpkins and tomatoes? I'm not seeing the little hairs on the melon stems like AG's have, and haven't seen any info about it elsewhere. I've found lots of info in other posts about preventing leggyness, and what to do about it. Thanks for any advice! Ron

Personally, I haven't witnessed roots develop on the upper parts of a Carolina Cross stem.
