Tilling to me is the purest form of redemption. It is a baptism in dirt that cleanses all the inequities of previous years, removing the weariness of a long cold winter. My garden is now redeemed with all the hope and promise of a fertile year of growth.

So I guess all your snow has melted ? I like spring, at the start....were all equal..the promise of a world record lies in all our patches !

It's a time of renewal, a time when we can start anew and implement what we have learned from seasons past and from communications with friends. It is a time of great promise. It is my favorite time of the year.

Yes my snow has melted, and we do not have flooding, or washouts, or anything bad. We even seem to have an early spring with talk of 70s and 80s next week (March!). I haven't been over to Dave Bhaskaran's garden yet, but I suspect he's setting melons already for how he likes to get an early start, and this just might be the year for him.
