That melon was awesome, the size of a couch. Made my "big'un" look like a pumpkin seed. Great Job Henry and it was great meeting you at the weighoff.

Sure Thomas, come on over. I can give you a few. Henry also got seeds from a 202, 207, 212, and maybe even the 233. I don't remember the weights of the rest of them he got. I will write the complete story and link you all to it. Henry is one of the best friends that I have down here in the South. I want you to know that I enjoy all that all of you contribute to this site.

Hey H3, I'm just a beginner with growing these melons but have fell in love with it. Two weeks ago I had the chance to meet with Mr. Allie Colleir and visited with him for over 3 hours and had the time of my life. If you and Henry ever want to have a cup of coffee and talk melons let me know. Also a couple of people from my church met Henry and saw his record melon about a month ago, then they called me and said my melon looked like a cantaloupe compared to his. Tell Henry congrats on breaking the record. Later Iceman

Henry's 2009 Season - Real bad beginning but a great, great ending. This is a great story, at least...I think so. Wonderful ending. Link to: http://www.carolinagourdsandseeds.com/henry2009.htm

Ice Man, I will be glad to have a cup of coffee with you. Maybe we can do this before the NC State Fair. I was later than Henry in planting them. He started them for me. I will be taking a 170 lber to the fair. It is off of Henry's 202 (96). I didn't take care of the plants until a month after I planted them so I am happy with the 170. 919-557-5946

No, I don't know what the 217 came out of. Henry always planted from his biggest seed melons, mostly from 200 +.
I might be moving to your neck of the wooooods in a year or two. Son lives in Bristol. Wife wants to move. Maybe Sullivan county...LOL.

It was worth the trip from GA to NC just to see your melon, WOW it was unbelievable and perfectly healthy.
