Well I took my watermelon to the Alaska State Fair and it weighed 146.5lbs. It was a pretty melon and was way shy of my 200 pound goal but it is what it is. Just means I need to work a lot harder and pay closer attention next year. Good luck all, Scott.

I think that those of us in Minnesota this year would be proud to have a 146.5 melon. We are having our 4th coldest summer on record. It just ain't pretty this year.

Anyone who can grow a 146 pound watermelon in a pot should be commended. Congratulations Scott!

Great Job Scott! Still a good melon. Like James said I would take one now for Oct. weigh-off. Mine are just over 100 pounds with only 30 days to go. Just too cold.wet and set too late. They needed to be in the hoop also.
