I have gotten aproval to expand my garden area...My question is how do these things grow how much space do they need? Would 100-150 sq. feet be enough...Also does anyone have some seeds I could have?

100 sq ft is only 10x10, and 150 is 10x15. That's tight, but you might be able to do one plant in there. Lots of trimming and turning the vines back in. Just make sure it isn't shaded by other things.
Most of us have seeds available. If you send me an email to james (at) rconnect.com I will send you my tips sheet with directions on how to get seeds.

I did 200 sq ft for 1 plant & felt that was tight too, but doable. mine was 10 X 20, don't try to squeeze too many into too small a space. It looks big when the plants are small. but they quickly grow !

Of cource , even with a smaller area, you can still grow a nice melon, maybe not world record size, but big by any other measure. ;)
