I need your input on if ags and watermelon can be grown really close toghter like side by side or if you think it would be a mistake. I dont have a big garden area but wanted to try so im tryin to find out if the two can grow toghter any input would be awsome Thanks Duane

Define side by side? AG grow with really tall foliage, and watermelons are ground huggers and can not grow in their shadow.

Ag's will grow right over the water mellon vines, if not moved or pruned.

so not a good idea huh. yea they would only be inches from each other but sounds like not a good idea tho Thank You ill half to figure something else out i guess Thanks Duane

Try 30 feet apart Grass is the only thing that does well inches apart!

i grow my pumpkins is a chritmas tree pattern. I grow them side by side about 25 ft apart. Know in between the plants,where the main vine will end up is where i plant my watermelons.Yes, sometimes they grow together but never really ran into any trouble. Hope this helps Danny
