My initial search hasn't turn up much. Is there a website out there dedicated to giant watermelons. Pruning and training are of particular interest....

I think www.melonman.com has some pretty good information on how to grow a giant watermelon, but I don't know if there is any recent information on the site. You should still try it and see what you find.
