I've been working on putting together a fully featured free online database of Giant Vegetable Information and it is called DNAtrack. The system is now ready to accept contributions for a basic set of information. We are starting with Watermelons and Pumpkins and will quickly move into covering other giant vegetables such as Green Squash, Long Gourds, Tomato, etc. once we feel the system is reasonably free of kinks...
The system currently includes details, discussion, family tree, and a descendency chart for each entry and has a variety of more powerful features still in the works. Preffered method of contributions is via our online interface so you can add and update information on your contributions and attach up to 10 images per entry, however you may send spreadsheet/image contributions via email if your time is limited (As most are this time of year) to giantvegenetics@gmail.com

Notice: All Contributions to DNAtrack are released under the GNU Free Documentation License. http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html Anyone will be free to copy, distribute, modify and rerelease this information provided they follow the terms of the license. This allows the free sharing of information while maintaining credit to the original contributor. It follows the same philosophy that has driven the open-source software movement which has produced free products that rival those of some of the worlds largest companies.
Anywho, on that note... please do not submit any information or images for which you do not have the legal right to contribute. Doing so will only provide headaches for you, we will not accept liability for illegal contributions and therefore must cooperate with any party making reasonable allegations of a copyright violation. Giant Vegenetics will never release any personal information about our users unless we are required to under the law.
Feel Free to visit Giant Vegenetics and check out DNAtrack: http://www.giantvegenetics.com/
Please continue to direct any suggestions, comments, criticism, hate mail, uncalled for legal threats, affirmations of surveillance, and cosmic ramblings to: giantvegenetics@gmail.com
Thank you in advance for your help, Jason.
PS - I'm still looking for interested parties who would like to help administer and moderate the system. For my Fellow Web Developers, I am looking to develop a standard for sharing this type of information with each other, whether it be contributions to your database and vice versa or displaying family trees on your clubs website via a web service, please contact me if you are interested in taking part.
