I think this is a bushel gourd female, but I've never grown one before so I'm seeking the help of the experts. It was supposed to be a long gourd plant but the way this season is going, nothing surprises me. Could be fun to grow.

Not in that plant type. All the long gourd/Bushel gourds have flower petals that are white.

Yeah I am guessing it is a type of Cucurbita Moschata, based on the stem and how it attaches to the fruit. (it could be a calabaza?

Might be a good one to eat.

That’s kind of cool, wasn’t expecting that. I better grow one to see what it is.

Think I have it figured out. My wife has an app called iNaturalist and she uploaded a pic and it came back as curcubitaceae, mini pumpkins or gourds I think. Wasn’t what I had planned but I’ll roll with it.
