Here is a question for the genetic gurus out there. Last year we grew the 2350 Gienger (1501 Vanderwielen x self) as our 150 square foot plant. It was crossed with the 1501 Vanderwielen and grew to 632 pounds (very orange). What would this cross be classified as an F-1, F-2, F-3, Sibed Self???? We are growing it this year and it is one of our most vigorous so far!

I call that a 1501 sib.Also its a f2 x f1.

I do not believe that there are many seeds out that the genetics are stabilized. I tried it with 1610 lieber genetics. Maybe you call it F(1-1/2)...more doubled genes than just F1 but less than F2

I don't think it is a sib as it was not sibbed with a plant from a seed of the same mother fruit. 2350 Gienger X another 2350 Gienger would be a sibbing. I have, but have not posted, a lengthy question barrage about this sort of thing but it is not the right time for it as there would be very few responses to it (typical of my posts, lol!); Once I saw that there WERE multiple levels of 'trigonometry' or 'algebra' involved, I bailed and put it aside.

As far as F1, F2, F3 - maybe by next year @ this time, I'll know, also---eg

F1 refers to the first generation of plants that are produced by crossing two purebred parent plants with different traits. These parent plants are often referred to as the "P1" generation. The F1 generation is usually highly uniform in appearance, and will generally display a combination of traits from both parent plants.

F2 refers to the second generation of plants that are produced by crossing two F1 plants. The F2 generation will exhibit greater variability in terms of their traits, as a result of recombination of genetic material during the process of meiosis. Some of the F2 plants will display traits that are similar to the P1 or F1 parents, while others will exhibit new combinations of traits.

F3 refers to the third generation of plants that are produced by self-pollinating or crossing two F2 plants. The F3 generation will also display a greater degree of variability in terms of their traits, but some of the plants will exhibit more stable traits that can be selected for and used in breeding programs.

SEE??? Ha Ha Ha no, I CAN get it, now, and thank you, BeeDub for that, lol---I was very good at math once I got into high school and you've brought back some memories, the both of you, bnot(!); My hidden rant about 'Who's Your Papa' only went so far as to inquire about the apparently F1 hybrids (like the XXXX - Oh, not even gonna try) and the perhaps F2 'What'd Your Momma Look Like' and this seems like straining chunks and debris from a big mess to begin with to get to the refined and stable seeds that can be relied upon from year to year. Good enough for now! I'm supposed to be choosing seeds, butt this, and McDonald's, are on my mind.

I'm aware(wolf - aaooooooohhh!) that McD's doesn't do a 20-piece Nuggets combo and I asked all about it;

I was all el-smart-o and had brought my own soda to compensate for the regular- price Nuggs + Med Fries so it was a 'good deal' at like $10.56...3 Spicy Buffalo seemed free, also. Sorry, bnot, I have 9 left (Dippity-Do-Da) but if near, I'd share, lol---eg

1461 Rodebaugh = 2350 x self
1872 Sippel = 1501 x self
739 Cook = 2350 x 1883 Bayuk

Looking to use ruby as the pollinator for all of them.
