I know most of us complain when we get a foot of snow, but we're so happy today. It's been a really dry and warm winter and things were starting to look scary. Overnight, almost a foot of snow has fallen and things look a lot better. Although I was planning on doing my lawn and tilling my soil this weekend, I'll take a break and build a snowman. Anyone else get this nice winter storm? Alan

Better you than us. From my memories of living in AB, you can expect snow just about in any month.
We've finally had 2 nice days in a row here in NS. The glacier on my patch has finally started to recede to the woods.
What are you planting this year sax?

That's true about the snow and any month of the year. Last year wasn't too bad, only 3-4 inches of snow in May. Early May 03 had about 6 inches, and late May 02 saw almost a foot. We'll take it anyway we can get it to avoid water rationing.
What am I planting? Geez, good question, that keeps changing. Out at the farm is pretty constant. 980 Razo for squash and my 716 Makarchuk 04 (technically my son is growing it, but he's only 4 1/2) My friend is also growing the 658 Emmons out there. As for home and the pampered patch, still is up in the air. 1446 Eaton, 1337 Hougton, 981 Zunino, 925 Hunt, 912 Perez (same cross as the Hunt 1097 Beachy x 842 Eaton) and a few others. Decisions decisions decisions. Alan
