Looks like the Swedish weather of the past few days was not the best for pumpkins :-(
Sorry to hear it, Lars! But unlike Börje, you have back up plants...
Now, I sure fear about my pumpkin on the 670! But thank god I am not in Sweden! LOL

I'd say it was a thin wall rather than the weight gains.
23.3# gain average a day isn't that unusual enough to push a "normal" walled pumpkin to split.

What did the split look like? The same as Börje's? did you take a picture?

Not a good week for European pumpkins. All these news about splits make me sick!
What was the est weight of your 44 day old fruit, Sergio?
I have always admired the fast growth that you guys were/are getting but maybe I should be happy that my fruits are only growing partially that fast. Maybe I can at least get SOMETHING to the weighoff...

I'll weigh it tomorow after I'll post the weight.
And yes, the fast grow is dangerous, may be you are right

The split is not so big. Only seven mm vide but its on both side on the steam. I am not sure the split is in to cavity but my experiense is not good. It gained 28 lb since yesterday.

I am glad again. The split is bigger but is not hole in to cavity. 94 Lb for the last three days. Est 480 day 31. I keep my finger crossed.
