Measures soil CO2 respiration and uses this as an indication of the level of microbes in it on a scale of 0-5.
Costs $75 in the US for a kit that does 12 tests,sold in the UK for £75 also in Denmark and Italy.

My soil test this year came back with this as part of the package it scored 3.5 which is classed as med-high.
Does anyone know anything about this test?
Could it be used as an indicator as to whether or not adding Myco's is worthwhile?

Mark...I have been aware of this test. One of my near by organic growers has had this equipment. I plain and simple talk...you or I can test today and find an activity factual biological activity on scale. When a direct test of the real biological activity show it is low you might elect to increase fish and molasses to excite activity to a higher level of activity.

This type of testing can best be done in the patch by the grower. It is not difficult to use and the results reflect what was happening just on day before the results are available. Sending soil away for this type reading has been taking to long to get reliable reports and the cost was prohibitive for small hobby growers.

This kit brings the truth to you as tested by you and within twenty four hours. Can't get much better than that!

Learning how to tweak to desirable levels and holding higher levels of biological activty will also enable you to see the direct and invasive damage anything will cause when those products are added to the soil mix.

We used to say the BS stops when the tail gate drops. Now we can say in percentage points what effect any soil amendment has done to biological activity. No more name calling and counting earthworms jolkers in the background. This is direct and factual. Any reaction to any ammendment can be recorded by the grower...right now with no BS.

You and I as rank amateurs could walk into anyone's garden,do a test and have the absolute biological activity level within 24 hours. No longer will a silk tounged saleman be able to suggest it was something else that set you back. Your own before and after will tell the truth.
