My local feed store has 50-lb bags of kelp meal from North American Kelp, but it's the "for animals" product instead of "for soil". Since I can't find a definitive answer online, is there a difference between the two? In other words, is it safe/beneficial to mix in the kelp livestock supplement with soil before planting?

Their website links to the same analysis, but for some reason I thought the animal label allowed a higher salt content. Probably comes out of the same chute in the factory by the looks.

I got mine from an outfit down the road and it was the same thing. They sale a lot of it to dairy farmers for there cows. Mine comes out of Canada and therefore it's not North American Kelp. But doing a search on the company that makes it, it's the same thing.
