Hi, Thanks for all the helpful responses fto my other posts, Today I added a full size pickup bed of 1. composted chicken manuer 2. regular compost. It is all tilled in despite what the Don Langevin book states. My soil test results are pending(sent out last week) but I figure these additions can only help. Ill probably add another tuck load of compost in the spring particularly to the section I just made a few weeks back, its low compared to the rest of the patch. And i'll adjust based on teh test results.
Should I consider covering(now)in black plastic or weed block for soil warmth in the spring? thanks jeffp
