Just realized I should have put this here instead of General Discussion..
I just got back the results from the first soil test I've ever done on my patch. Any recommendations would be appreciated. My soil has never been amended. I believe it is classified as a sandy loam.
OM 3.9% ENR 114 lbs/Ac Phosphorous Available 123ppm K 164ppm Mg 200ppm Ca 1348ppm pH 6.2 pH buffer index 6.8 Acidity 1.2 H meq/100g C.E.C. 10.0 meq/100g %Base Saturations... K 4.2% Mg 16.6% Ca 67.1% H 12.1%
Sulfur SO4-S 12ppm Zinc 117.7 ppm Mn 37ppm Fe 115 ppm Cu 14.2ppm B 0.6ppm
Recommendations N 75 lb/Ac P2O5 40 lb/Ac K2O 45 lb/Ac S 20 lb/Ac Boron 1 lb/Ac
apply 20-40# P2O5 and 20-30# K2O as a side placement application. Subtract amount from recommended and broadcast the rest if any
