Does anyone know if adding algae from a pond would be beneficial as a soil nutrient?

Since there was no reply to your question, I got online and had a look and found the following links that may help you.

Also, my buddy Larry uses his pond water (has algae in it) to water his patch and he has had several good years...don't know personally if the algae helps but it works for him.
