We've had quite the last month with both my in-laws passing away so the patch has been put on the back burner. The plants are in, but the greater patch has not been property tilled or amended. I did add 300 lbs of gypsum in the late Fall as well as 4 truck loads of horse manure. I just had my soils test done an would really appreciate knowing if there is anything I can do to help it along at this point. Does any of this look scary? The area were the pumpkin plants are currently, has been amended but I could still amend the greater patch if it isn't too late. Creek,
It would be nice to bring the Ca & pH up a little. If you can work around the plants, add 50 lbs of Calcitic limestone per 1000 sf.

Thanks Tremor! We'll work about 150lbs of Calcitic limestone into our 3,000 foot patch. If I remember correctly, I had a hard time finding Calcitic Limestone but have some oystershell lime left over. Would that work as well or should I scout around some more and find that calcitic lime? -Creek
