I wil be gettin a new patch, but in december. I stil need to prep for next yea altough late. How do i start? soil test is to expensive here in holland, ph is 7. I now i need to add manure, maple leafs and sand(because its a heavy klaysoil). anything else? and what first? all advice is welcome.

Ploughing the grass under is fine since the dead stuff will add organic matter in time. I would add all of the amendments at the same time as soon as is reasonably possible.
I'm surprised that a soil test is cost prohibitive. Has another local (similar) soil been tested. Can we review it?

If im lucky i might get it ploughed up and get to add leafs and manure this fall, along with urea and sulphur. The deadly bug that got my patch is to blam this year, dam mosiac
