I just tilled in a crop of buckwheat and will try solarizing my patch soon (not growing this season). I'm debating whether to use 2 mil. or 4 mil. clear plastic. I know the 2 mil. will heat the soil better and is cheaper but the 4 mil. is a lot less likely to rip. Any thoughts? Thanks, Charlie

Until next season, me personaly id use 4mil or 6mil, for some reason i always find another use for it by then, and its still in pretty good shape, Expencive yeah, but if you can reuse it it will save$ later. i have one patch that will be done next year or end of this fall. Rog
