I think i planted my pumpkin plants sometime in july, they are jack o lantern sized pumpkin plants, and, it being november and all, not one female flower has popped up on that plant, so i just gave up on the plant and let the powdery mildew get rid of it. What caused my plant to do this?

if you have to much nitrogen in the soil no flowers can result

Do you mean nitrogen as in like fertilizer for instance?
