Subject: incipient Dill rings?

If you are raising the vine then letting the pumpkin grow till there is slack you may be causing the odd shape. Like the long stem

It had the really long stem and odd shape before I turned it up on its end. I'll monitor both for a bit longer before deciding.

When young pumpkins dont get everything they want for dinner they'll get a big dip in the middle and many will be peanut shaped when grown on their side.Thats kinda what i think I'm seeing in your photo.A dill ring shows up usually around fruit day 50.
