So I have 1 1662 Debacco and 1 1998 Jutras that were started 4/10.

They have been in the ground about 1 week. The main vine looks normal however where the side vines are I am getting double leaves as well as male flowers already.

I doubt I would have 2 plants going wacko which makes me think its something I am doing. . . I have only added heating cables this year and turned them from 72 to 68 already. Anything else that I may be doing to cause this?

Also - any chance they will grow out of this or should I pull them? I have some back up plants that will be up tomorrow however they will be about 30 days behind these current plants. Not THAT BAD but, not what I would prefer to do for sure.

Pics in my grow diary.

If they were mine.. I wouldn't pull them.
I don't have a whole lot of knowledge in this area but maybe someone else with more experience will chime in.

I had that issue last year and blamed it on "too much" hydrolyzed fish fertilizer. Whatever the cause, the plant soon began to grow normally.

With the weather I have not gotten a TON of growth but they seem to be growing out of the double side vines... Too much of a good thing in the soil I would guess.

ItZ when you have double vineZ at the tip when one has to go. In my case you could see which one shouldnt have been there.

Removed my double vine last night. After I cut the head off it didnt like it, vine was very brittle and was starting to split. Would of never supported side vines. I put an 81 Wolf in its place and its loving the hoop house.
