Hi. The vine on my big plant is kind of flat and wide not round like the ag next to it. Is this normal.

One big problem with ribbon vines is that they get very brittle and break off easily. I'm growing 2 pumpkins on secondary vines on this plant but I'm not going to save seeds so I don't pass the genetic anomaly on to future generations.
